We are SteamTrain

We are SteamTrain—five guys from northern Germany who don’t just play country rock, we live it. In 2023, Dirk “El Jeffe” Zöllner and David “Dave” Bublitz laid the foundation—what started as an idea quickly turned into a band with forward momentum. Today, Dave brings his distinctive vocals to the mic, El Jeffe sets the electric guitar on fire, Helmut “Colt” Renken adds acoustic guitar drive, Heinz “Ente” Lentzen creates a solid bass foundation, and Ralf “The Machine” Janssen pushes us forward relentlessly on the drums.

In 2024, we made a big impression at the Country Music Award in Pullman City: we took third place in the Country Rock category—and when we returned on 2025, we even topped that and took home the first place.

After a lot of awesome shows in 2024 and 2025, we’re really going to turn it up in 2026. The first gigs are booked, and we’re ready for whatever is coming.
